Konstancin-Jeziorna is a city and the center of a commune (parish) in Poland, part of the Piaseczynski poviat of the Masovian Voivodeship.

It is part of the Warsaw agglomeration. It is located about 20 km south of the center of Warsaw.

Population 17,032 (December 31, 2021). It occupies an area of 17.1 km².

The city of Konstancin-Jeziorna was founded in 1969 as a result of the merger of the cities of Skolimov-Konstancin and Jeziorna and several villages. At the same time, Jezerna has existed since the 1410th century.

The city is located at the junction of the Warsaw Plain and the Middle Vistula valley, on the Jeziorka River and its tributary Mala. From the south and east it is surrounded by a complex of Khoynovsko-Slomchinsky forests, and from the north it adjoins the Kabatsky forest. The Jezerka River flows through the city from west to east. The city is surrounded by pine forest and immersed in greenery.

To the north of Konstancin-Jeziorna is the Kabacka Forest, the Park of Culture in Powszyna and the Botanical Garden of the Polish Academy of Sciences. To the south of Konstancin-Jeziorna are the territories of the Chojnów Landscape Park, in which several nature reserves have been identified

Konstancin-Jeziorna is a well-known Polish resort. It has an outstanding spa value due to the deposits of medicinal waters and the characteristic microclimate associated with the surrounding complexes of pine forests.

The thermal mineral waters used in the brine cooling tower, opened in 1979, are extracted here. There are sanatorium-and-spa institutions in the city: "White House", "EVA Park Life & Spa". There is also a neurological rehabilitation hospital, as well as the hospital of the Mazovian Rehabilitation Center STOCER, where diseases of the spine and musculoskeletal system are treated, and the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center (CKR).

The cooling tower in Konstancin is located in the center of the Spa Park and is the most recognizable symbol of the spa and the city of Konstancin-Jeziorna. It is supplied with brine (healing thermal water) from a nearby well. The air around the cooling tower creates a specific microclimate, similar to the climate near the sea.

Konstancin-Jeziorna is a very picturesque town with its own history. Konstancin-Jeziorna is full of monuments, historically important and memorable places. The magnificent palaces and villas located in the vicinity of the Kurortny Park deserve attention. The most beautiful are: Kamilin, Vulture, Hugonowka, Swiss, Natemi, Caprice, Pallas Athena. Villa Svita (4 Zeromski St.), where Stefan Zeromski lived and worked many years ago, houses a public museum of the writer and his family.

It is worth coming here not only for the sake of the famous salt cooling tower. Reserves, cycle paths, historic villas and palaces, as well as highly specialized medical and rehabilitation facilities located among pine forests, await all visitors. It is also very comfortable to live here.

With the beginning of the construction boom in the first years of the 21st century, the city came into fashion - modern residential complexes of apartment buildings began to be built, and historic villas are being restored.

Many of the residents are members of the Warsaw elite - artists, politicians, senior government officials, generals, businessmen, architects, lawyers, diplomats and doctors.

The city has a regular bus service to nearby Piaseczno, Kalwaria Hill and Warsaw. The entire municipality of Konstancin-Jeziorna is located in the first ticket area. The following routes go to Konstancin-Jeziorna: 139, 200, 251 (served by electric buses), 264, 710, 724, 742 and N50 (on weekends). The commune also has a local bus. Six zonal lines: L14, L15, L16, L21, L42, financed from the budget of the commune of Konstancin-Jeziorna, and L28, financed jointly with the commune of Gura Kalwaria, transport residents and tourists.

Education in Konstancin-Jeziorna is provided in local public and private kindergartens, as well as primary schools. In total, 440 places are provided for the youngest residents of the commune of Konstancin-Jeziorna in four modern kindergartens and 75 places in a nursery. There are 1,853 students in six public elementary schools. Only one school operates at the post-primary level. Most students who continue their education in secondary schools go to Warsaw or Piaseczno.

The main sports institution is the Sports and Recreation Center. Sports facilities include GOSiR Sports Grounds, sports hall, rollerdrome (Slomchin). On st. Gąsiorowskiego, there is a public swimming pool with a sauna and a jacuzzi, the second pool (open at certain times) is located in the Mission Animation Center Fr. Pallottes. In the microdistrict Mirkow, on the square of st. Belavska, in the Zdrojowy park and on the playground on the street. Sobieskiego, outdoor gyms are available.
