After February 2022, there has been a significant interest of Ukrainians in real estate in Poland. More and more citizens of Ukraine are moving to Poland and are conducting active economic activities.
In 2022, 15.5 thousand private businesses of Ukrainian origin were created in Poland. In the first half of 2023, 13.9 thousand new individual entrepreneurs (jednoosobowych działalności gospodarczych, JDG) from Ukraine were registered. From May 2022 to December 2022, at least a thousand new companies founded by citizens of Ukraine were registered monthly, and from January 2023 - 2 thousand (for comparison, at the beginning of 2022 their growth was only two hundred per month).
Today, every tenth new company in Poland opened by JDG is Ukrainian. Enterprises created by citizens of Ukraine make up 2/3 of the companies opened by foreigners in Poland. More than half of them are focused on foreign economic activity.
It should also be noted that Ukrainian citizens who have opened enterprises are seeking to gain a foothold in Poland. This confirms not only the fact that they purchase real estate, including from our company OKEASK, but also that their enterprises operate stably. During the period 2022–2023, less than a thousand companies founded by Ukrainians were closed, or only 3%.
The largest number of enterprises are opened in such industries as construction, information technology, and services.
A quarter of private entrepreneurs from Ukraine founded construction companies (profile – construction and finishing). The fifth part is IT specialists (programming and repair). The service sector employs 1/6 of entrepreneurs (hairdressing and cosmetic services).
Most of the entrepreneurs settled in Warsaw and the capital region, as well as in the west and south of the country and on the Baltic coast.
For entrepreneurs from Ukraine, OKEASK will select commercial and residential real estate in Warsaw and give practical advice on organizing a business in Poland.
