History of the city of Marki:
The city of Marki is located near the capital, on the route from Warsaw to Białystok. Several decades ago, it was one of the most modern industrial centers of the textile industry. The origins of the present city date back to the end of the 16th century, when, most likely around 1580, a village was founded on land belonging to the Warsaw starosta.
Main Attractions:
The construction of a spinning mill at the end of the 19th century was decisive for the development of Marki. It was the impulse that transformed a quiet settlement into a thriving industrial town. The most beautiful monuments of the city date from this period.
Briggs and Ernest Posselt Factory (Fabryka Briggs and Posselt):
In 1883, 95 morgs of land became the property of English industrialists - Edward and John Briggs and Ernest Posselt. They came to the Kingdom of Poland with the intention of bypassing customs barriers imposed by Russia. The famous Warsaw architect Edward Lilpop created the design for the factory buildings. In the first months of 1884, production of worsted wool yarn began, with raw materials imported from Australia, Argentina, and Russia. Materials necessary for production were delivered to the factory by the Marecka Railway, connecting Warsaw with Drewnica, Ząbki, Marki, and Pustelnik. It is worth noting that this was one of the first factories in the Kingdom of Poland to have electric lighting. It also had a fire protection system. In 1887, the factory employed over 1,100 people. The factory began to decline after the end of the First World War and the closure of the Russian market. During the Second World War, the Germans halted production and set up a warehouse for weapons and ammunition in the halls. The war caused serious damage. The surviving factory buildings include: the main production hall and the octagonal-based chimney of the boiler house. In the first decade of this century, Marki sought a partner to revitalize the post-factory site and obtain EU funding - unfortunately, without success.
Briggs Palace (Pałacyk Briggsów):
One of the material monuments to the Briggs family is their residence, now located near Aleja Marszałka Piłsudskiego 96. The palace was built concurrently with the factory, and its designer was architect Antoni Beyer. The palace was situated on the edge of a park created in the English style, next to a tributary of the Długa River – which was picturesque, beautifully meandering at the time and spreading during spring thaws over extensive coastal meadows. The residence has two floors and a habitable attic. The façade is made of white clinker brick, harmonizing with the also white-plastered frames of the rather wide Venetian windows. The English style of the residence is emphasized by a bay window located at the front. The stucco decoration at the top of the palace in the form of griffins is eye-catching. An ornate veranda, made of cast iron combined with glass, served as a winter garden. Inside the palace, in the vestibule, the well-preserved wooden (oak) staircases leading to other floors and the dark wood joinery are striking.
After the Second World War (during which the building did not suffer major damage), as a result of nationalization, the owners – the heirs of the Briggs – Whitehead families – were forced to leave the palace. It housed the main vocational school for cinematographers, which operated until 1977.
Briggs Workers' Settlement (Osiedle robotnicze Briggsów):
Anyone who has ever passed through the center of Marki has seen the former workers' settlement built on both sides of Aleja Marszałka Piłsudskiego. This is one of the testaments to industrial development in the Kingdom of Poland, as well as an illustration of the conditions in which the workers of the Briggs factory lived. These were one- or two-room apartments, each with 18 sq m of space. The settlement was not sewered – communal toilets were located in the courtyards. For the time, these were quite modern solutions. In the previous term of the local government, a comprehensive renovation of the Briggs tenement houses began. Nine of them regained their splendor. All tenement houses were also sewered. Thanks to state funding, the remaining buildings of the settlement are being renovated.
Tadeusz Lużyński Marecki Cultural Center (Marecki Ośrodek Kultury im. Tadeusza Lużyńskiego):
One of the most beautiful monuments of Marki is the building constructed around 1890, which housed an elementary school at that time. It is a one-story building with an integrated tower, crowned with a metal (copper) antenna about two meters high. The school building (like the workers' settlement and the church) was built of dark-red brick, made by hand at the time in the brickyards of Marki. On the ground floor of the school, there were two classrooms, a cloakroom, and a teachers' room. On the upper floor, there were three classrooms. Classes were held here for almost 100 years. Since 1984, the headquarters of the Tadeusz Lużyński Marecki Cultural Center has been located at Fabryczna 2.
Church of St. Isidore the Laborer (Kościół pod wezwaniem Św. Izydora Oracza):
The launch of the factory led to a dynamic increase in the number of residents of Marki. To care for their spiritual needs, the idea of building a church in Marki was born. Its implementation was undertaken by the residents, Father Jakub Dąbrowski, and the Briggs brothers. The tsarist authorities granted permission to build the church in 1899. The church was built on a cruciform plan, has 13 naves, and is based on eight columns. The brick came from local brickyards. The church was consecrated in 1904 by Cardinal Aleksander Kakowski. The Second World War did not spare the temple. In September 1944, the Germans blew up the tower. Its reconstruction continued until 1961.
Church of St. Andrew Bobola (Kościół pod wezwaniem św. Andrzeja Boboli):
In 1927, Father Antoni Polawski arrived in Marki from the USA, who bought the land on which, among other things, the parish church was built. The church was built between 1928-31 according to a design by Feliks Michalski. It acquired its final architectural form in the 1980s, when two side naves were added, skillfully integrated into the body of the church.
Inside the church are the altars of Our Lady of Fatima and St. Andrew Bobola, designed by Professor Wincenty Kućma and made by Antoni Oremus from Krakow. The Krakow sculptor is also the author of the design of the pulpit, the marble lectern, and the tabernacle. The church windows are decorated with stained glass designed by Stanisław Jakubczyk, and the church floor is covered with marble. Right by the altar of St. Andrew Bobola, a marble-copper baptismal font draws attention. The faithful are called to services and prayers by three bells in the church tower, made in 1968 at the Ludwisarna in Hungary: Mary (550 kg), Andrzej Bobola (350 kg), and Michael the Archangel (200 kg).
Modern Marki
The years after the end of the war marked a new stage in the development of the city of Marki, which gradually began to transform from a small suburban factory settlement into an industrial center hosting a number of factories. To this day, Marki has several dozen craft workshops representing various industries: footwear, metalworking, construction, carpentry, and tailoring.
Every year, about a thousand new residents officially move to Marki. These are people who come from various parts of Poland and other countries.

The city strives to encourage the use of public transport. A milestone was the introduction of the first ticket zone in November 2016. Thanks to this, residents of Marki pay the same in the city and the capital as Varsovians. The main transport axis remains Aleja Piłsudskiego, but since 2019, L-line buses have been directed to streets on its western side. There are ticket machines located, among other places, at P&R car parks and the town hall. Bus stops have been replaced.
From January 1, 2025, free travel on L lines is available with a valid Marecka Karta Mieszkańca. It can be obtained at Centrum Aktywności Fabryczna 3.
Detailed information is available on the website wtp.waw.pl
Tickets
On ZTM buses within Marki and Warsaw (140, 240, 340, 738), the first ticket zone applies with all types of tickets and entitlements.
Regarding L lines:
single journeys are paid directly to the driver, considering reduced fares
carriers honor ZTM short-term and long-term tickets (e.g., daily, 3-day, 30-day, 90-day) and all rights to reduced and free travel.
Additionally, you can leave your car (or bicycle) at one of the P&R car parks on ul. Dużej or Sportowej. Both car parks are free and under video surveillance. Furthermore, there are electric vehicle charging stations and bicycle shelters for protection from rain. After leaving your car, you can switch to public transport.
People heading towards Warsaw's Praga often lose time in traffic on ul. Radzymińska on weekdays. Meanwhile, on the outskirts of the capital, there is a dedicated bus lane, allowing buses to cover this distance significantly faster than cars.
Bicycles are in high demand in Marki. The bicycle is – right after the car – the second most popular means of transport in the city. If you don't have a bicycle yet, there is a city bike rental. The city bike system KołoMarek operates in Marki. Over a hundred bicycles with this logo are available in the city, located at seven stations operating from March 1 to November 30.

Admission to Municipal Kindergarten
For the next school year, admission is usually announced at the end of winter – beginning of spring. The local government prepares places both in municipal institutions and in public kindergartens run by private entities, as well as in private institutions selected through a competition, which preschoolers will attend under the same rules as local government institutions.
The first step is to submit an application through a dedicated website. Parents/guardians choose their preferred kindergartens and submit documents to their first choice. The order of admitting children is determined first by statutory criteria, then by local government criteria (including accounting for PIT tax paid in Marki). Then parents/guardians check if the child has been accepted and to which kindergarten. At this kindergarten, they submit a confirmation of intent to enroll the child. Children not admitted in the first stage participate in supplementary enrollment.
If a child is accepted into a kindergarten, the enrollment process does not need to be repeated every year. Parents only submit a so-called declaration of continued enrollment.
Private kindergartens also operate in Marki. The city assists residents with payment through a kindergarten voucher. This is a monthly benefit of PLN 300 per child. It can be received if several conditions are met: if the child's guardians:
➪ reside in Marki;
➪ both work and are not on parental leave;
➪ file their PIT tax declarations with the Tax Office in Wołomin, indicating Marki as their place of residence;
➪ have declared an income not exceeding PLN 1,922 net per family member;
➪ have a contract for child care with a kindergarten, kids' club, an organization employing a nanny, or an activation contract with a nanny.
More detailed information about the kindergarten voucher in Marki can be obtained from the Social Welfare Center (Ośrodek Pomocy Społecznej) in Marki. All necessary formalities can be completed there. Phone: 513 581 573, email: swiadczenia@marki.pl

The goal of the program is to teach children proper behavior in emergencies and demonstrate the basics of first aid.
Information about this is published on a special Facebook page
Marki Resident Card (Marecka Karta Mieszkańca)
To enable residents to connect with local businesses and address social issues, the local government introduced the Marki Resident Card (Marecka Karta Mieszkańca). It entitles the holder to discounts with more than 70 program partners.
These include car repair shops, bookstores, construction companies, beauty salons, and hairdressers. Another important benefit is a discount on entry to the swimming pool at the Mareckie Centrum Edukacyjno-Rekreacyjne.
The Marki Resident Card can only be obtained by individuals who file a PIT tax return and indicate Marki as their place of residence.
You need to fill out a form and bring a printed copy of the first page of the PIT (with confirmation of filing) to the activity center (Centrum Aktywności Fabryczna 3). Staff will take a photo and issue the card immediately.
Marki – a Warsaw Bedroom District. This is a fairly common opinion. You may or may not agree with it. It is often related to the fact that residents work in the capital and return to Marki during the day or in the evening – to rest and sleep.
Believe me, for a "bedroom district," there is a lot of interesting things here.
So, culture.
Marecki Centrum Edukacyjno-Rekreacyjnego (MCER)
You can watch plays and films in the city thanks to the Marecki Centrum Edukacyjno-Rekreacyjnego (MCER), which houses one of the most modern auditoriums in the country. It has been operating since 2019. Up to 350 people can attend a play, concert, or screening at the same time (there are also spaces for people with disabilities). Advanced lighting technology based on LEDs and intelligent surround sound systems provide an incredible experience.
Marecki Ośrodek Kultury im. Tadeusza Lużyńskiego (MOK)
Driving along Aleja Piłsudskiego, you will surely see a beautiful historic brick building with a distinctive turret. For many years, the cultural heart of the city has been beating here.
Marecki Ośrodek Kultury im. Tadeusza Lużyński organizes various cultural, artistic, and educational events, attracting all generations of residents – children, youth, adults, and the elderly. Here, among other things, there is a small stage where plays and concerts are held. At the Cultural Center, you can watch a play or listen to a concert. Various group classes are held – from building robots with Lego to dancing and singing, and even... fascinating spelling lessons. The Klub Seniora also operates here, organizing meetings and performances for elderly residents.
It is worth noting that MOK also involves city residents in various cultural events and co-organizes outdoor city events.

It starts at the Marki City Hall and continues through the forest towards Czarna Struga, through Drewnica Forests, Czarna Struga Uroczysko to Zamostki Wólczańskie, Słupiec Forest, Łęgi Czarnej Struga. Nature in the city of Marki:
There are many forests in Marki, covering an area of 936 hectares. Forests and forested areas are found mainly in the eastern part of the city. Within the city limits are the nature reserve "Horowe Bagno", Lake Czarne (known as Kruczek), and a forest complex that is part of the Warsaw Protected Area - forests from the Prima Park shopping center to the border with Kobyłka.
The largest tree in Marki is the natural monument, the Gajos oak, with a circumference of 636 cm and a height of about 30 meters.
The highest natural point in Marki is a hill in the forest by provincial road No. 631, which is 110 meters above sea level, but the artificial Zwalek hill (a former landfill) is higher, which is 110 meters above sea level, and on which the geodetic center of the Masovian Voivodeship is located.
Lake Czarne (Kruczek) is on the border with Zielonka. The rivers Czarna and Długa flow through the city. Both rivers flow west and empty into the Żerański Channel.
The city has a 19th-century park with many natural monuments.
The Horowe Bagno Reserve
The Horowe Bagno Reserve is one of the city's valuable natural objects. It is located in a forest complex abundant with dunes, marshes, and peat bogs. It is a faunistic-type reserve with high vegetation value, and landscape and aesthetic values. Its area is about 44 hectares, of which 17.5 hectares are water. There is one large pond of 7 hectares and a number of small water bodies that formed as a result of peat extraction.
Type of reserve: peat bog. Plant species under strict protection: Sand Pink (Dianthus arenarius), Round-leaved Sundew (Drosera rotundifolia), Common Twayblade (Listera ovata), Lesser Butterfly-orchid (Platanthera bifolia), White Water Lily (Nymphaea alba).

Matters Handled by City and County Authorities
CITY HALL (URZĄD MIASTA)
Have you become a new resident of Marki? Welcome to the growing city! As of mid-2022, over 37,000 people lived in Marki. City statistics record an increase of 800 to 1000 new residents annually. We will tell you about the main matters you can handle at the town hall (Aleja Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego 95, the building next to the railway station) or its branches.
Registration for Permanent Residence
There are two possible ways:
The Traditional Way
We invite you to the town hall. Here, in room No. 12, you will complete the necessary documents.
Be sure to bring with you:
an identity card or passport and a document confirming ownership of the premises. This could be, for example, a civil law contract (a notarial deed in the original or a current extract from the land register, sections I and II).
Furthermore, if you are not the owner of the premises and wish to register, provide confirmation of stay in the premises made by the owner, on a printed application for stay.
If the registration is done by your proxy, they must have a written power of attorney. Also, fill out a printed application for permanent stay and then submit it to our town hall.
Attention! When changing your permanent place of residence, registration of departure from your previous place of residence is not required. The departure can be made when declaring a new permanent place of residence.
Online - via the Internet
You can submit the necessary form via ePUAP. However, for this, you need a trusted profile. You also need to include the attachments we wrote about above.
Registration for Temporary Residence
The procedure is the same as for registration for permanent residence.
You can apply online via ePUAP (but you must have a trusted profile) or at the town hall.
Be sure to fill out the application for temporary stay and the necessary documents (ID card or passport, document confirming the right to the premises).
Civil Registry Office Matters
Marriage
You can get married at the Marki City Hall or at a location you specify.
The first step is to visit the City Hall and make a declaration of no impediments to the marriage.
You need to have your ID with you, and if the spouse is a foreigner, a certificate of capacity to marry. Then, the date and place of the marriage are also set (within a month from the date of submitting the documents and depending on available dates).
If the wedding takes place at the Marki City Hall, the stamp duty is PLN 84.
If outside the registry office premises - an additional fee of PLN 1000 is charged.
It is also possible to get married in a church. For this, it is also necessary to contact the Civil Registry Office (USC) to obtain a "certificate confirming the absence of circumstances excluding marriage."
More information:
Urząd Stanu Cywilnego, Aleja Piłsudskiego 95, room 11, phone: 22 781-10-03 ext. 800, 22 418-81-37
Registration of a Child
A child must be registered within 21 days of the date of issue of the birth card. You can do this either online or in the traditional way.
If you have created a trusted profile, we invite you to use the ePUAP web path.
If you cannot use this option, you can apply at the Civil Registry Office (Urząd Stanu Cywilnego, USC) at the child's place of birth. Bring with you (if you received it) the written birth announcement of the child issued by a doctor, midwife, or medical facility, as well as the parents' ID cards.
Typically, the hospital forwards the birth announcement to the appropriate USC. The head of the USC will prepare a protocol containing the child's and parents' data.
You and the head of the USC will sign it. The head of the USC will register the child's birth, record it, and provide you with their social security number (PESEL).
Recording or Reconstructing an Act Prepared Abroad
In the first case, prepare:
ID card,
Application for entry of a civil status act prepared abroad (can be filled out on-site),
Civil status act or its copy issued under the law of another state
Sworn translation of this document.
This is necessary to obtain an entry in the Polish civil status records.
In the second case, you will need:
ID card,
Application for reconstruction of a civil status act (can be filled out on-site),
Documents confirming the event abroad (photocopies, copies of the civil status act)
Sworn translation of documents confirming the event abroad.
The maximum time for resolving both matters is 30 days.
Changing Names and Surnames
Prepare an ID card and an application for changing your name or surname with justification.
A full catalog of matters concerning civil status acts is in the City of Marki Information Bulletin.
Identity Card (Dowód osobisty)
You can obtain this document at any office, regardless of your registered address. You need to fill out an application for an identity card, prepare a color photograph, provide a valid identity card (if you have one) or a passport. The waiting time for the new document is a maximum of 30 days.
Property Tax
If you have purchased a property in Marki, go to the Department of Taxes and Fees (ul. Lisa-Kuli 3a). Here you need to submit a completed IN-1 form.
This must be done within 14 days of the transaction date. The Urząd will issue you a separate account number, assigned exclusively to you, and calculate the tax amount. Local taxes can be paid immediately or in four installments. Payment dates are specified in the tax decision.
Waste Disposal Fee
Since 2020, Marki has had a payment system based on water consumption. This is due to the tightening of the system. Previously, fees were calculated based on the declared number of household members, but as you can imagine, this number often did not match reality.
Property Transactions
Applications for issuing an excerpt and an extract from the local zoning plan, for plot division, assigning a sequential number - these are examples of the most popular matters handled by the Department of Property Management (Wydział Gospodarki Nieruchomościami, building B, room No. 28). One of the most common matters you can handle at the town hall is obtaining a revitalization certificate, required for presentation, e.g., when changing the property owner within the city. This applies to both plots and residential premises. You can handle this matter in the Department of Planning and Development (Wydziale Planowania i Rozwoju, similarly, the urząd miasta indicates the target fence line for the property).

Investment Attractiveness of Marki
Marki is a city with well-developed infrastructure. This includes electricity, gas, telephone network, and sanitary and water supply networks currently under construction. A recently built water treatment plant is capable of providing quality water to a city twice its size.
In the Marki area, there are many attractive areas intended for industrial and service development. The location on the Warsaw-Białystok route and the network of access roads to it create unlimited opportunities for investment.
There are about 2000 business entities in the city, including various workshops and a developed trade and service network.
In 2025 alone, the following was done in Marki: built, repaired roads and modernized 18 streets; 7 playgrounds were created on streets and in schools.
Investments
What was done in the city in 2025?
Started construction of municipal nurseries at ul. Zygmuntowskiej
Built or modernized playgrounds in eight locations
Modernized street lighting in the city (replacing old sodium lamps with energy-saving LEDs)
Modernized ul. Ząbkowska (from the border with Ząbki to Fabryczna St.)
Built ul. Jagiełły
Completed construction of ul. Wilcza
Continued reconstruction of dirt roads into asphalt roads
Road construction using a reclaimer and asphalt binder
Continued financing of educational investments carried out by Mareckie Inwestycje Miejskie
Replaced heat sources (elimination of "copciuchów" - smoke-emitting furnaces) in communal houses (in process)
Carried out revitalization works in the park and Briggsów Palace, as well as on the territory of the workers' settlement – (over PLN 1 million)
Modernized the R-2A ditch (from Fiołkowa to Długa St.)
Carried out modernization works in School Complex No. 2 (Zespół Szkół nr 2) (PLN 0.3 million)
Prepared design and cost estimate documentation for the second section of ul. Poznańska, as well as ul. Wołodyjowskiego (from Żeromskiego to Barbary) and Barbary (from Wołodyjowskiego to Zygmuntowskiej)
Prepared a functional and utility program for ul. Wenecka (from Piłsudskiego to Projektowana St.)
Prepared a design for the extension of ul. Okólna
Laid water, sewage, and gas connections in municipal buildings
Implemented the project from the Marki Participatory Budget (Marecki Budżet Obywatelski) "Akira Miyawaki's Microforest - green lungs in the center of Marki"
Resumed municipal subsidies for the exchange of heat sources and elimination of "kopciuchów"
The cost of investments in 2025 - over PLN 85.3 million
Investments in 2026
Main financial parameters of the budget (rounded)
Revenue - PLN 405.7 million
Expenditures - PLN 442.1 million
Including:
Current expenditures - PLN 339 million
Capital expenditures (investments) - PLN 103.1 million
Deficit - PLN 36.4 million
This year's budget considers the scale of investment (property) expenditures. For the first time in history, they will exceed the ceiling of PLN 100 million.
This plan is possible, among other things, thanks to growing revenues from personal income tax (PIT). Marki's share of PIT revenues is expected to increase from PLN 189 million in 2025 to PLN 223 million in 2026.
Among the most important issues are the construction and modernization of roads, expansion of the educational base, and investments of a social nature.
The long investment list includes, among others:
Construction and handover of a nursery with children's departments at ul. Zygmuntowskiej
Reconstruction of dirt roads into asphalt
Modernization of streets using recycling and asphalt emulsion
Design and construction of the intersection of ul. Piłsudskiego with ul. Szpitalna and reconstruction of ul. Piłsudskiego from the S8 route to Szpitalna (together with the county)
Replacement of street lighting with energy-saving lighting
Thermal modernization with roof replacement of the Voluntary Fire Brigade (Ochotnicza Straży Pożarnej) building
Reconstruction of the building at ul. Szpitalna 12A (the so-called stone cottage) into a Club for seniors
Restoration of the Briggsów workers' settlement area
The most money is spent on education. After all, about 6.7 thousand children attend kindergartens and schools!
Therefore, half of the budget expenditure goes to education. Next year it will be almost PLN 217 million.
Revitalization
The Municipal Revitalization Program for the City of Marki for 2019-2026 is in effect in Marki.
Implemented investments:
Comprehensive renovation of tenement houses in the Briggsów workers' settlement
Modernization of the municipal facility at the Fabryczna Activity Center 3 (Centrum Aktywności Fabryczna 3)

Guide for Entrepreneurs in Marki
Marki is a city of enterprising people. From data collected by CEIDG, it is clear that over 4,000 people are engaged in business activity in the city. Marki - as a place of business - was also indicated by over 500 commercial law companies. For those taking their first steps in business in Marki, an information package has been prepared that will help in completing errands at the city hall.
Business Activity
Want to start a business, suspend it, resume it, cease it, or change data? This can be done both electronically and in the traditional way.
1. Fill out an application electronically or on paper at the office.
2. If you have an electronic signature or a trusted profile, you do not need to visit the city hall. Through the website www.biznes.gov.pl , you submit the application directly to the Central Registration (Centralna Ewidencja) and Information on Business.
3. If you do not have an electronic signature or a trusted profile, visit the city hall (Aleja Piłsudskiego 95, room No. 14) to submit and sign the application.
4. In this case, some formalities can be done from home. You fill out the application on the www.biznes.gov.pl website and note the assigned barcode number. You come to the city hall with this code. Here it is recreated, and you sign the application.
5. Attention! The CEIDG-1 form is an integrated application to the Central Registration (Centralna Ewidencja) of business information and activity, the Statistical Office, the Tax Office, and the Social Insurance Institution (Urząd Statystyczny, Urząd Skarbowy, and Zakład Ubezpieczeń Społecznych). Thus, you can save time and focus on business, not formalities.
Registration in CEIDG is free. Any information encouraging contributions related to the registration of an individual's business activity in Poland is a simple scam.
Taxi License
A taxi work license can be obtained at the city hall. The conditions can be found on the Marki city hall website.
Alcohol Sales Permit
To sell alcohol, an application for a permit should be submitted:
Fill out the application.
Attach a document confirming the right to the premises constituting the point of sale of alcoholic beverages, a sanitary decision, consent of the owner, manager, or administrator of the building if the point is to be located in a multi-family residential building (the consent must be unconditional and issued for the purposes of the conducted proceedings).
Visit the city hall.
Submit the application and attachments. Attention! Applications and attachments can be submitted via the electronic submission box. They require certification of conformity with the original by a notary or an authorized person who is an attorney or legal advisor.
Your proposal is considered by the municipal commission for solving alcohol-related problems. It checks whether the location of the point meets the requirements of the law and local legislation.
After successfully passing this stage, you receive a resolution, which does not yet give the right to sell alcoholic beverages.
Agree on the validity period of the permit at the city hall. Pay to the indicated account or at the city hall using cards the fee for using the alcohol license in the current year. With confirmation of payment, go to the city hall to receive the permit. You will receive a permit for a period of at least four years - for the sale of alcoholic beverages intended for consumption at the place of sale, and at least 2 years - for off-premise sales.
Property Transactions
Applications for issuing an excerpt and an extract from the local zoning plan, for plot division, assigning a sequential number - these are examples of the most popular matters handled by the Department of Property Management (Wydział Gospodarki Nieruchomościami) (Building B, room No. 28).
See what else you can do there and check the necessary documents in the City of Marki Information Bulletin.
One of the most common matters you can solve at the city hall is obtaining a revitalization certificate, required for presentation, e.g., when changing the property owner within the city.
This applies to both plots and residential premises. You can solve this matter in the Department of Planning and Development (Wydziale Planowania i Rozwoju) (similarly, the city hall (urząd miasta) indicates the target fence line for the property).
Market
The market in Marki is located in the very center of the city. At the corner of Paderewskiego and Malinowa streets, there is a special square with good infrastructure. It is not large, so trade spills over onto neighboring streets. The market operates three days a week. So, if you want to stock up on bread, meat, vegetables, textiles, or garden plants, go there on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The market opens early in the morning. Around noon, both buyers and sellers become significantly fewer.
